#1 Gun Cannon RX-77-2
Just released from Japan. This is the new HG series RX-77-2 Gun Cannon, piloted by Kai Shinden in the original TV series. Bandai has previously made four HG model kits : RX-78-2 Gundam, RX-178 Gundam Mk-II, Z Gundam and ZZ Gundam. Then this series has stopped for several years.
Now this series has been renewed and this new product is designed by the famous designer Hajime Katoki.
Like other HG models, this one is snap-assembly and color molded that painting and glue are not needed. Decals also included that you may decorate this model into either unit 108 or unit 109.
This new model has a lot of new features / gimmicks : 4 different sets of hands that allows the model posed in a prone position as shown in the pictures below, or holding weapons, etc.
Include beam rifle, moveable cannons mounted on two shoulders, and a missile launchers.
Good to hear that this is only the first one of the Universal Century series. More are coming in this summer !
